We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Miguel Medina Muñoz as the lab’s first Postdoctoral Research Associate! Miguel recently completed his Ph.D. under the direction of Dr. Rita Rio at West Virginia University, studying tsetse fly symbionts. Here, Dr. Medina Muñoz will be working collaboratively as part of a recently funded joint US/UK project to identify the genetic factors contributing to gut microbiota assembly in mosquitoes.
